1901 Census for the township of Totley, Reference R.G. 13/4346 Folios 35-50


This transcription has been made by the Totley History Group from Public Record Office returns. Some of the recorded details have been amended to expand abbreviations and correct spellings.

 

The Census records a count of the number of houses, whether inhabited or uninhabited/under construction and the number of rooms occupied by each household if less than 5. It also records the following details for individual occupants: Name, Relation to the Head of Family, Condition as to Marriage, Gender, Age, Occupation, Employer/Worker/Own Account, If Working At Home, Where Born, and certain Medical Disabilities. We have calculated the approximate year of birth from the age given at the date of the Census.
